What separates poor or average marketing campaigns from the great ones? Strategy. Carefully crafted, well thought out, detailed marketing strategy.

That goes for anything marketing related. Whether it’s lead generation, social media, or search engine optimization, campaigns with a documented strategy in place will ultimately triumph over the competition.

Content marketing is no different. Without a strategic marketing plan in place first, it’s easy to waste tons of money creating and promoting content.

Every so often I come across a great piece of content that needs to be shared. Salesforce recently published this infographic about content strategy. If you’re a content creator, content marketer, content decision maker, or involved in the content marketing process in any way, this is a great read.
