State of B2B Email Marketing

By December 29, 2015No Comments

Surprisingly, there are many similarities between B2B and B2C marketers when it comes to email marketing beliefs, best practices, and even pitfalls. According to the Salesforce 2015 State of Marketing report, 73% of B2B and B2C marketers believe email marketing is core to their business.

A similar percentage of B2B (48%) and B2C (49%) marketers believe that click-thru rate is the most important email marketing metric. Mobile is also a big focus for both groups, with 48% of B2B and 46% of B2C marketers building email campaigns using responsive design.

Unfortunately, the two groups also share some of the same shortcomings. For example, 27% of B2B marketers do not know which device subscribers are using to read their emails, compared to 20% of B2C marketers.
