Turn Web Visitors into Customers with Google Virtual Tours

By July 10, 2014April 12th, 2019No Comments

Any business with a Google My Business page can now add a virtual tour of their store or office (If you’re wondering what Google My Business is, read our recent blog post). Think of a virtual tour like Google Street View – but for the inside of your business.

Why should you use virtual tours?

With Google Business View virtual tours, you can show potential customers and visitors a preview of what they will experience when they visit your business. This can help your business stand out from the crowd in the competitive online local search listings. Businesses of all types can use virtual tours to showcase their unique collection of products, fine-dining atmosphere, or collaborative office space.

The 360° virtual tour of your business can show up directly in the Google search results, in Google Maps, and on Google+, giving you a great bang for your buck. A virtual tour can be a great investment, especially for businesses in highly competitive local markets, such as restaurants and hotels.

How to add a virtual tour of your business

1. Login to your Google My Business dashboard at google.com/business and choose the page for which you’d like to create a virtual tour.

2. Click the “Add virtual tour” button.

4. Contact the photographer of your choice and schedule your shoot!

5. After the shoot, the photographer will take care of the rest. Your virtual tour should be live on Google within a few weeks.
