Take Advantage of Twitter

Using the renowned social media tool, Twitter, to benefit your business is a fantastic way to increase your online presence, form a relationship with consumers, network with peers, create buzz about your company, and expand your business across a wider arrange of clientele. However, Twitter is an extremely complex tool that can be easily misused to harm your brand, rather than sustain or improve it.   To make sure you use Twitter to improve your brand’s image and awareness follow these four simple steps.

1.    Have some attitude: Let your personality shine through your Tweets. Rather than coming across as an automated feed, act like a human being. Ensure that each Tweet reflects the values and traits you want to become associated with your brand. For example, if you are a technology marketing firm trying to convey a persona of intellect, maturity, and innovation, make Tweets that are wise and creative.

In addition to promoting your company,Tweet content that may be of interest to them. Tweet industry-related news, information, or inquiries. Followers will be much more likely to pay attention to your account if they know it will satisfy a wide array of their interests.

3. Be on time: Your Twitter account should be just as prompt as your professional self. You should Tweet an average of 5-10 Tweets daily in a timely manner to stay up to date without bombarding followers. Use services like TweetDeck or Hootsuite to ensure that you never miss a day of Tweets, even if you are sick or on vacation. Also remember to respond to mentions and direct mentions immediately.

4. Be a friend: Twitter is an exceptional networking tool for like minded business persons. Use your account to form relationships with a variety of peers by mentioning them in Tweets, re-tweeting interesting content they post, and sending them personalized direct messages. In turn, they will reciprocate and your follower-base with exponentially increase.
