We’re gobbling up gratitude this year!

Learn what the CQ team is thankful for in 2022, fun Thanksgiving traditions they’re looking forward to, and their favorite dish.

Chris Slocumb, President and Founder

What are you thankful for this year?
The fact we’re back to some semblance of normalcy. I don’t panic when I forget my mask!

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
My dad’s sausage and grapes stuffing recipe – YUM!

Any fun Thanksgiving traditions you’re looking forward to?
I always watch the Macy’s parade while I’m cooking the stuffing.

Brian Shilling, Executive Vice President of Client Operations

What are you thankful for this year?
This year I’m thankful for being able to see the world through a toddler’s eyes. Experiencing things for the first time with a little human is amazing.

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Definitely the stuffing (queue the stuffing vs. dressing debate). The kind with sausage and all the unmentionable turkey bits.

Any fun Thanksgiving traditions you’re looking forward to?
The day after Thanksgiving, we all go to a Christmas tree farm to cut down our trees. It’s usually cold and often raining, but it’s a nice way to get into the Christmas spirit!

Lindsay Groth, Account & Business Development Director

I am thankful for my wonderful family and friends, health, home, happiness, and career.

Stuffing from inside the turkey. Is there any other way?

Giving in and starting to watch holiday movies and listen to Christmas music.

Melanie Hilliard, Account Director & Content Lead

What are you thankful for this year?
I’m thankful for my amazing co-workers. I know they have my back and support me, even as they challenge me to do better. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people from whom I continually learn.

What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
My favorite Thanksgiving dish is anything with brussels sprouts, although the “s” at the end of “brussels” drives me bonkers.

Any fun Thanksgiving traditions you’re looking forward to?
My husband writes hilarious Turkey Notes customized for everyone who joins us for a Thanksgiving meal. Never heard of Turkey Notes? I hadn’t either until I met him. Here’s the fun history of the Turkey Note. And really, who doesn’t love a punny rhyme?!
