Tips to Boost Webinar Registration & Attendance

Webinars are a great resource for any stage in the buying cycle. From raising awareness and building thought leadership credibility, to providing more information to those considering and evaluating your products, to nurturing post-purchase relationships – the potential for webinars is limitless!

Whether you’ve run a few webinars already or you’re considering your first live event, here are a few tips to keep in mind when scheduling and promoting your webinar:

1. Promotional Cycle: The longer you promote your event, the larger audience you are likely to have. That being said, people who register the day of the event have a higher attendance rate than those who register earlier, perhaps because the event is top of mind.

2. Email Campaigns: Scheduling email drops leading up to your live webinar is a great way to boost attendance. Best practice is to send one email/week. One email 14 days out, one email 7 days out, and one email the day of the webinar.

3. Registrations: 64% of webinar registrants sign up the week of the webinar, and the majority register for events on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. These are the best days to schedule your email promotions.

4. Timing: Hold your live events on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays for optimal webinar attendance. Also consider your audience’s work schedules and time zones when choosing the time of day for your webinar. 11:00am PST is often the best time of day to schedule a webinar. Remember to avoid rush hours and lunch hours for best attendance.
