Google and Bing Unveil New PPC Features

Dynamic Sitelink Extensions

PPC Advertising ServicesLast week Google announced a new AdWords feature to help advertisers increase click-through rates and serve searchers direct links to more relevant webpages. Dynamic sitelinks are in addition to regular sitelink extensions, and are automatically setup and served by Google. No additional setup is required by AdWords users.

All clicks on dynamic sitelink extensions will be free to advertisers. Google stresses that dynamic sitelink extensions will be used sparingly and only when deemed helpful to the searcher. It’s important to continue using and maintaining regular sitelink extensions and sitelink descriptions to get the most of this AdWords add-on.

You can opt out of the dynamic sitelinks feature by filling out this form, but this is not recommended.

Improved Location Targeting

Bing Ads PPC Advertising ServicesEarlier this month, Bing Ads launched an upgrade to their geotargeting settings. Advertisiers can now better understand their location and radius targets with a visual map, comparing more closely with AdWords’ location targeting display. Advertisers now have more control over radius targeting, with the ability to choose any value between 1 and 500 miles. Bing Ads users now have the option to use radius targeting and location targeting in the same campaign or ad group.
