How To Use Google’s Keyword Planner

By June 4, 2013No Comments

Google recently made the new Keyword Planner available in all AdWords accounts. The new tool is great for building PPC campaigns from scratch or for refreshing current campaigns.

As a PPC account manager, the Keyword Planner has a great benefit. The new tool’s greatest asset comes when building a PPC ad campaign from the ground up. The Keyword Planner helps you generate keyword and adgroup ideas, which is great for building a campaign from scratch or for brainstorming new campaign or keyword ideas. The Keyword Planner also estimates traffic and cost-per-click bids for keywords, allowing PPC managers to better predict costs.

My favorite element of the Keyword Planner is the option to estimate traffic based on certain geographic parameters. This is great for predicting the traffic and bids for keywords in a certain target market.

The Keyword Planner will likely take the place of the Keyword Tool, so AdWords managers should begin to familiarize themselves with the new tool.
