March 21 – Automation Alley to Hold “Empowering Women in the Global Community” Symposium

Automation Alley will hold a symposium next Wednesday, March 21 entitled, “Empowering Women in the Global Community.” This even is hosted by the Oakland University Student Congress as a part of March Women’s History Month, and will be held at Oakland University (2200 N. Squirrel Road, Rochester MI 48309) from 9AM-10PM. This all-day event will focus motivating and inspiring women in the global community, and in the business world. Speakers will include Sheryl WuDunn, a Chinese American business executive, author, and first Asian American to win a Pulitzer Price, Diane Hartmus J.D., Oakland University Associate Professor, Monica E. Emerson, Oakland University Trustee, President, and more. The many panels range from topics such as “Women Overcoming Social Challenges in the 21st Century,” to “Women with Disabilities,” to “Women in Politics and Media.” This event will also feature an open networking session for guests and panelists, and will culminate in the Women in Business Benefit Dinner.
