Marketing to IT Decision-Makers

By November 18, 2015No Comments

In order to successfully promote technology products and services, marketers must understand how IT buyers conduct research and select vendors. Technology selection typically involves several employees within an organization. Peer consultation, technology reviews, videos, vendor websites, and search engines often aid in the research process.

Videos Encourage Additional IT Product Research

Videos are a valuable tool for informing IT decision-makers. In fact, 88% of IT decision-makers report watching a tech-related video in the past three months. Viewing a video frequently leads decision-makers to:

  • Research a product further
  • Visit a vendor’s website
  • Contact a vendor for more information
  • Forward the video to  friends or colleagues
  • Add the vendor to a list for future consideration
  • Participate in a product demo
  • Purchase a product

Strategic IT services marketing, healthcare IT marketing, and technology marketing help improve brand visibility, enhance online reputation, and ultimately increase revenues. See our infographic to learn more about marketing to IT decision-makers:
