Turkey orange, turkey yellow, 2021 was anything but mellow: What our team is thankful for this season

By November 23, 2021No Comments

Tis’ the season for thankfulness!

While we’re all excited for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday (turkey, stuffing, pie, cranberry sauce, need I go on?), the CQ team took a few moments to share what they’re thankful for this year.

Chris Slocumb, President and Founder

I’m thankful for such an amazing team that’s preserved through COVID, crazy schedules, and remote work. You are all AWESOME!

Chris Slocumb

Lindsay Groth, Account and Business Development Director

I’m thankful for:

My health and the health of my family and friends.
A wife of 5 years who is my North Star.
My 3 nephews and 1 niece who brightens almost every day with something they do or say.
How lucky we have been to live in a country where we have taken for granted access to goods and services. Until COVID, many generations have not experienced scarcity of any kind.
The unintended positive consequences of COVID. Wait. What? Yes, COVID helped me: 1. Get reacquainted with our house and not feel the social pressure to always be doing something. 2. Feel grateful to attend events and participate in social activities, which I never thought would be taken away from me. 3. Find a great job that ticks all my boxes personally and professionally.
That we are getting closer to Dec 21st when we get more daylight here on EST. 😉
Netflix. Hulu. HBOMax. Prime Video.

Lindsay Groth

Casey Frushour, Senior Director of Creative Services

I am thankful for my and my family’s good health and for being in a position where working from home is not only an option but is how I do my best work! Being part of such an amazing team of marketing experts makes my job a little too easy sometimes 🙂

Casey Frushour

Melanie Hilliard, Account Director and Content Lead

Here’s what I’m thankful for:

Clients who appreciate a clever turn of phrase and a little white space to breathe
Coworkers who challenge me to greater achievements and deliver beyond expectations
And while this year wasn’t exactly the return to normal we were all hoping for, at least the 2021 book releases have kept me sane and inspired

Melanie Hilliard

Brian Shilling, Executive Vice President of Client Operations

This year, I’m more thankful than ever for the health of my family and friends, and to be able to gather to celebrate the holidays together.

Brian Shilling

David Gomez, Account Director

I am thankful for the awesome CQ team, who is supportive and hard working.
I am thankful for my wife and daughter. I cannot imagine my life without them.
I am thankful to be a part of the CQ team where I get to work on awesome marketing projects that help our clients grow and reach their goals.

David Gomez, Senior Marketing Consultant

Marla Sokolowski, Senior Director of Marketing Systems

I’m thankful for the CQ TEAM who support continuous campaign Testing, pretend not to glaze over with my Engagement charts, and Always make work fun, even with Monthly reporting.

Thanks for being you CQ!

Marla Sokolowski

Bonnie Quintanilla, Public Relations Director

My extended family and extended friends, the opportunity to do challenging work that helps people, the confidence to take risks and be fearless, the opportunity to learn every day, and our amazingly beautiful, inspiring, and surprising environment.

Bonnie Aufmuth Quintanilla

Tom Bonaventura, Account Director

I’m thankful for my family and friends who are always there no matter what the circumstances.

Tom Bonaventura

Rayna Southart, Content Marketing Manager

This year, I’m thankful for:

Getting to celebrate with friends and family (the 2020 holidays were pretty lonely).
My two adorable nieces and one nephew who make me laugh and smile every day—looking at life through the eyes of a child is both insightful and hilarious.
The health of myself, my family, and my friends.
Getting to see movies at the theater with my dad again.
The books, blogs, YouTube videos, and podcasts I learn from daily and those who create them.
Getting to work with intelligent, innovative, and dedicated teammates at Clarity Quest!

Rayna Southart

Spencer Rohatynski, Digital Marketing Manager

My list could go on for pages, there’s so much to be thankful for right now and that becomes so clear to me especially with all of the challenges we’ve all faced over the past few years.

In short… family, friends, and Clarity Quest.

It’s actually crazy to me that so many of the CQ team members put “Clarity Quest” as something they’re thankful for, that just doesn’t seem normal… so many people so thankful for their workplace. That just goes to show how great the environment is here at CQ, not to mention the leadership. When mindfulness and health is put before the corporate hammer, along with personal and professional growth opportunities, the success and energy of a team grows exponentially. And Clarity Quest is proof. Okay, my brag is over now, thanks for reading.

Spencer Rohatynski
